I've been a pretty non-offensive opposing fan on here over the years (I think).
I have gone from hating the Division-Leading Titans

to feeling sorry for the cellar-dwelling Titans,

to being intrigued by the on-the-uprise Titans,

to being interested in the "Saved by Vince Young" Titans.

And I gotta tell you, this team is at a crossroads right now. If Pacman and Hayneworth stick around, and you have another solid season, then you're doomed for another half-decade. Guaranteed.

If the Titans get rid of the bad eggs, and let Vince Young and his crew adjust and grow even if it means a middle-of-the-league 2007 season, then the uprise will continue.

These boards are all about opinions and arguments, and I'm giving you one of the strongest opinions/arguments that I have about the NFL right now, and that is, in order to get the most out of the Vince Young era, the Titans must part ways with the guys that will bring him down- even if they're your most talented players.

I know you guys don't have control over this, much less myself, and I don't blame you for unwavering loyalty towards your home team, but just take this as a commentary; the bad eggs WILL ruin the bunch. If you know anything about the Indiana Pacers, you'll know that when you stand by your best players and they're thugs, you're only delaying your demise.

There really isn't a good argument against anything you've said.

Without PacMan last year we would of lost alot more games then we did..

Haynesworth made a mistake thats all. He admitted he was wrong and I dont see anything else happening with him like that again.

Removing "bad eggs" is not the way to go. Help them get away from their troubles and you could have great a player.

"Help them get away from their troubles and you could have great a player."

And how do you propose we do this?

Thats up to Adam. If he wants to change his ways he needs to accept whatever help Goodell tries to give him. I think hes going to get fined but like Jeff said in another thread Goodell might propose he take anger management classes.

I agree. I'm up for giving him one more chance, but just ONE--and I'm not very optimistic that he will make the most of it. Sooner or later, surely, Pacman will grow up, I'm just not sure the Titans or the city of Nashville have the patience to wait much longer.

    My two cents -

Haynesworth - After the counseling and community service Haynesworth did during his five games off, he's playing within the rules of the game. I think he'll still get more than the average player unsportsmanlke conduct penalties.

Pacman - I think its still possible for him to turn things around and make wiser choices. A 4 to 6 game suspension for failure to report the GA incident seems waranted, possibly longer depending on how the legal process goes in GA and LV

This is beyond anything up to Pacman now. This is no longer in his hands, he does not control any of the situation and he will learn this the hard way in a week. There will be "proposed" chanes or suggestions, there will be things he will have to do, on a regular basis like community service. His life will never be the same again, he will always be one incident away from the end, and Goodell is going to come with the thunder to him and his thug teammate Chris Henry.

First thing the kid needs to do is get a haircut, and start over.

SwingonDeezBalz, nice post and very true.

Jones will never change..he is what he is and he doesn't care who he hurts in the process. I don't buy one word of what Fisher said that Jones is sorry for hurting the team, fans and community :bsflag:
