I was just looking at over the cap for titans. Maybe you guys can explain this to me. It looks like to me, if we move on from Julio post June 1 we get out of most of the deal. But if we do not, and try it another year, we are on the hook for the rest of the deal. Is that correct? It kind of looked to me that J-Rob, when he extended the deal, may have written in a way out.

Yea looks like $4.8m dead cap hit post June 1, but $13.2m before.

By the looks of that graph - they would cut post June in 2023, no? They ain’t cutting him now or before the season starts. The receiving core is already crap.

Yea id keep this year and if he cant play decent enough cut him next year post June. I get it this year we were riddled with injuries but he can still get open. If he stinks next year cut loose, dont like the idea of doing that to a player thats done soo much in his career but business is business.

He’ll be cut after next year, we’re not going to move on after one year considering what we gave up. The cap will work itself out like it always does.

the post June 1 cut just pushes more dead cap money into the next league yr….so it would save money this yr but just push more down the road.

I think we at least give Julio another chance, but if he breaks down during training camp then I see us cutting him

I think we do cut him and move on. From what I have read if we cut him it is 2mil in dead money but if we keep him it like 15mil against the cap. I think we have to many needs on offense to keep him

disagree... on back side of career but still SHOULD be a difference maker. If you are serious about winning you retain difference makers...

IMO reason for JJ2 disappointment is downing

JJ was not a difference maker last year. In fact, I think he hurts us. His lack of speed clogged things up. Need someone that will clear out space for Mr. Brown. On top of that the guy was hurt all the time. Not worth the price tag, and it really sucks we gave up a 2nd and 3rd to get him.
