Rumor Deshaun Watson wants out of Houston?

1. Tigers stuff was pre me too. It's a different time now.

2. Tigers transgressions were merely infidelity. All consensual. There were no allegations of assault.

That’s fair, but I’m also willing to bet that the biggest supporters (most active) aren’t NFL fans either.

Again, if convicted, what he did is t ok BUT I see him getting a celebrity slap on the wrist, a celebrity style “recovery” from what I expect to hear, he’s a sex addict, and after a short time away 1-2 maybe 3 years, he gets another shot in the NFL, maybe as a backup at first.
When that happens, you’ll see the immediate outcry of some fans “I won’t support my team if they sign him” but ultimately will support their team and even more, will entirely change their tune if Watson becomes a reason why their team is winning.


We’ve just seen this process before. “People” don’t really care overall. There is a group of very vocal people but I hardly think they make up any majority to actually effect a potential return, if convicted, even a couple years later.

 

I don't know. A sex addict is one thing, but a convicted sexual predator is an entirely different thing.

 

Yea.. I don’t see the slap on the wrist coming at all. I expect charges to be filed and the NFL placing him on the Commissioners Exempt list for 2021 at minimum. Read the complaints that are being filed. Buzbee is attacking the NFL as well for fostering a culture that condones this behavior. I think the NFL will make an example out him. If he is convicted of Sexual Assualt I don’t think he ever plays in the NFL again.

 

That is a good point.

This is a bigger deal than usual because this all happened at NFL facilities. If this happened at any other private or public sector job that person would be fired permanently.

 

I think you are also overlooking the massive female NFL fanbase that the NFL has been working hard to build more and more.

Hell, at this point my wife might be a bigger Titans fan than I am.

I don’t think they are.

However Watson did serially violate the leagues COVID policy and I am sure there will be punishment to him and the team because of that at minimum.

 

Biggest issue with the Tiger women were they all looked like men.
