    I recall wanting King in the 2017 draft. Of course we took Brown in the 5th round so it turned out alright.

    Tape is from last year but King is tremendous slot player and plays very similar to Logan Ryan but just younger.

    I think an understated part of this is how this can help our run defense as well. When you’ve got a DB who can tackle and make plays on the edges it helps funnel things inside where our big guys can make plays.

    Seems like teams are using sweeps and runs to the edges a lot more this year. Makes sense when our DB’s are missing tackles left and right.

    Desmond King has allowed just 0.3 yards per coverage snap this season, almost half the amount of any other slot CB this season (min. 60 coverage snaps).

    The other nice bonus here is he is a very good punt returner and we could sure use that around here! If we can get off the field on third down.
