Anyone else find it weird how alot if not all the Nashville/Tennessee teams got covid .

    Titans
    Vols
    Nashville SC

Maybe we have alot more Titansman1's out here than we though.

We need to bubble all of our teams !!!

There has been flu vaccine for over 20 years. Annual mutations do occur with the flu resulting in a decrease in efficacy of past immunizations, but not complete zero immunity. the R factors and mortality of Covid 19 grossly exaggerated because we did not widely test for Covid 19 early on, but rather only those critically ill. There was a vast majority of early Covid 19 infections that were simply like a run of flu. Covid 19 uniquely effects a subset of population with higher morbitidy and mortality. Like the flu does.

The human population has not been exposed (until now) to Covid 19. Herd immunity is a real concept. We'll augment herd immunity with vaccines soon and you'll Covid-19 statistics parallel other respiratory viruses that have the same level and timing of testing and vaccinations.

This whole Covid 19 has been grossly politicized which is the real tragedy.

I don’t know why I keep getting lambasted on here for simply saying that I think it’s time to go back to business as usual. I don’t agree with these widespread shutdowns.

When it first hit, I didn’t object to shutting things down for a “few weeks” to asses the situation and “flatten the curve”. But as the data came out, and I realized that this wasn’t as dangerous as originally projected for the masses it became clear that keeping businesses shut down indefinitely was creating more harm than the virus itself.

I guess the people on here that criticize that train of thought isn’t one of the 30+ million people to have lost their jobs or had their business or life’s work forcefully ruined at no fault of their own.

Exactly, plus like I’ve been saying and getting criticized for saying, there is only a very small segment of the population that is truly at risk. And with some of the new therapeutics even that segments risk of death is shrinking. Here are the survival rates directly from the CDC by age.

COVID -19 SURVIVAL RATES (per CDC):
    Ages 0-19: 99.997%
    Ages 20-49: 99.98%
    Ages 50-69: 99.5%
    Ages 70+: 94.6%

I don’t see anything here that justifies shutting businesses down, including football. I think we should open up the stadiums for fans too. If someone is at risk, don’t go.

this is the real tragedy. The politicized paradigm shift of how we approach disease in the US. Traditionally, the burden of safety of at risk populations was held by those at risk. It was a much simpler system of accountability and safety. And it ACTUALLY WORKS BETTER. Put simply, if you are at risk, then YOU stay at home, socially distance and implement whatever means necessary to protect YOURSELF. And the medical leave act and family care act all were enacted to financially assist (and protect) those people at risk.

Unfortunately, the whole Covid 19 pandemic “science” has been hijacked, permuted and promoted by unscrupulous people with blatant and gross political motivation. I’m not sure how future less significant pandemic outbreaks can avoid falling into this same politicization process. We’ll see fallout comorbities (depression, alcoholism, etc) from the devastating economic effects.

Thank you. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one on here that felt this way. It amazes me that everyone doesn’t want to open everything back up and get back to business as usual.

Just goes to show how easily a large segment of the population can be manipulated and brainwashed.

This is the only social media I use (for obvious reasons) when I'm here in the US. That's why I haven't posted anything about this virus since one of the mods said to stop.
I enjoy this board very much especially when members one up each other on Titans / NFL knowledge.
Having stated this, I still stand by my previous post on this subject, and my questions remains the same.

    Respectfully
    Afc46.
