Definitely. He was a third round pick because he has holes in his game. His deficiencies can be fixed if he wants to fix them though. Exactly the kind of guy you hope to land at that point in the draft, and a position of need to boot.

Good points about the pass protection.

But other than a partially torn acl in 2016, and the same in 2017---and a capsule injury to this throwing shoulder in 2018---tannehill has shown that he can take a hit, at least until something tears.

Plus, Vrabel doesn't seem like the spiteful type.

Is he a legit running qb? I like the kid and the pick has grown on me but the plays you showed looked like a lb playing contain. If he is not much of a runner then they are damn good.

Excellent shoulder bump on the DE while he was being blocked by the RT.

Umm you are wrong. The data does not appear to back up your argument.

Pass Blocking Reps: 43rd out of 349 FBS RB qualifiers

Pass Blocking Grade: 35th out of 349 FBS RB qualifiers

According to the PFF numbers, he actually appears to be plus in his protection. Something the Titans must have identified considering we ask our RBs to pass block at a higher rate than any other team in the NFL--27% of the time. Makes sense given our high usage of play-action stuff.

He is also dynamite as a rusher. One of the best handcuffs in the league.
