I had no idea PFF had a mock draft simulator. Life changer. Anyways, this is probably my favorite mock I've done. IMO it's somewhat realistic(moving back 4 spots while picking up a 3rd and a 5th doesn't seem too far off). I also love the picks. They seem like JR type picks to me. Addressing needs with awesome football players. I was torn between taking the highest ranked OT in the 3rd, but if a guy like chinn falls that far, I don't think you pass on him. He'd be a great addition to our defense. A guy with that size who can cover tight ends is something our defense could use. Looks like he has potential to be special too..

Trading back in this draft just makes so much sense for us. We just have so many holes to address.

If yall don't know about TE Albert O, he is 6'5 255 and ran a 4.49 at the combine. How he's not getting more hype in this poor TE class is beyond me. Getting him and Quez Watkins in the 5th would be ridiculous.

Blacklock had a major Achilles injury, missed an entire year. I tore my Achilles, it’s no joke, he seemed to come back from it, but if he tears it again he’s done. Risky.

Just throwing this out there - is anyone else concerned with our TE depth? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but if Jonnu goes down for the season (knock on wood) we are stuck with Firk and MyCole as our top 2.

What would you guys think of drafting Chase Claypool to play TE? I've seen several places where some think he's better suited for TE in the NFL rather than WR. He would be a matchup nightmare - 6'4, 240 (may need to add some weight), and runs a 4.42. May be able to get him in the 2nd.

Well he played on it pretty nicely this year so I think that alleviates most the fear there, plus JR clearly isn't too afraid of past injuries. Im sure he will do his due diligence though. I could see Jordan Elliot being the pick if Blacklocks achilles is too much of a concern. Id take Epenesa over both guys. But I think I'd trade back and pick up 2 extra picks before I did anything. I love the depth in this draft and we have so many needs.

Go look at the mock I just did earlier..^^^.. this morning. I addressed TE in it. Let me know what you think.

Also, claypool is intriguing, although I haven't watched him much. Id assume we would want more of a true tight end though for run blocking purposes. I definitely agree that we're in trouble if johnnu goes down and adding another one in the draft would be ideal. JR, not unlike most of us, is probably foaming at the mouth for more picks.

Right. We already took a risk on and have a DL who had an injury, losing both to injury, although not probable, would end SB hopes.

Oh, and Falk you btw, I'm not your 'bro'.

Wow. PFF mock draft is the tits. By far, the best I have yet to use. Just wish they had there player rankings listed a little better.

Anyways, that's a nice draft overall. Here's my first attempt. Traded back in the 1st and 4th rounds to end up with 9 picks overall:

Man I wouldn't be mad at that at all...chaisson falling that far seems extremely unlikely, but that would be an easy pick there i think if he did.

the way I see it is that we would go to more 3 WR sets if Jonnu goes down....but I could see trying to add a pass catching TE who could then take Jonnu’s place if we are unable to resign him next yr

Not as crazy about this one, but I'm super proud of that trade. Pulled two 2nd rounders (one for 2021), a 3rd round comp pick, and a 4th rounder for our 1st and 5th. And still ended up with a top 5 DL on my personal board at number 49.
