No, spotrac.com is a legit website that keeps track of contracts and stats for every player in every sport. Id imagine their analytics on player contracts is about as good as anyone's.

 

How in the world will his agent settle for less than Zeke? I would highly doubt analysis that gets you that number for Henry.

 

I rather doubt it he gets anywhere close to that much. Zeke has a better track record and is widely considered to be the best overall RB in the league prior to this season. This is the first year Henry was elite. Not only that, but RBs just don't typically get paid like that, which is why Zeke's contract is by far and away the highest for a RB ever.

 

We will see. Henry has just had a year far better than the guy that got that big contract and the narrative is the Titans need him desperately. And he just won two playoff games. Do you think his agent will settle for less? What agent does that? Add the salary cap is going up. Does the normal trajectory of contract go they way you suggest or the way I am predicting?

 

Maybe he has Tom Brady’s agent?

 

Gurley was an MVP candidate last year and got 57.5 over 4 years, at the time the highest contract in NFL history for a RB. So I find it extremely unlikely Henry will double that amount after 1 great season.

It'll be intersting to revisit this thread in a couple months (assuming Henry doesn't get tagged) and see who was right.
