Vrabel is right The fanbase also does suck in many ways.

@GoT is also 100% spot on and they brought this on themselves.

Game days just arent worth the investment for me. We used to get tickets for one+ game a year. Now I'd rather spend my money elsewhere and watch from home.

Here's my 2¢ (and I've stated all this before):

What @GoT and @Big TT are saying about this franchise selling PSLs and extra tickets to brokers on the cheap is the truth. @Riverman is correct in that, when the Titans were stinking, this franchise made a choice to not do anything to improve fan experience, put a quality product on the field and sold out to put butts in the seats.

Oh, and they continued (and still do) screw loyal PSL owners by forcing them to pay for scrimmage games.

You see a lot less fans every Sunday for any team not the Steelers, Cowboys, Pats, Packers, etc. It's a league-wide issue but the Titans made their own bed.

This franchise didn't make any effort for quite a few seasons to keep opposing fans who bought cheap tickets in the upper deck from coming down to the lower bowl. Again, that's on this franchise which further lowered the game experience for loyal PSL owners.

Vrabel has no clue to all this. He just sees opposing fans each game.

Want to fix it? Do what the Broncos do.

They pull the PSLs/Season Tickets from any owners who don't use 75% or more of their tickets. In their relationship with Ticketmaster, they can know which seats are being sold each game. If the PSL/Season Ticket owner lists their tickets for sale each game, they risk losing their tickets.

Sure, owners can sell on StubHub and Craigslist but even those are supposedly being investigated.

For the last five seasons, I've wanted to trade my four PSLs on the visitor side for two on the home side. I'm told each year by the Titans none are available though I see opposing fans, every game, sitting in the same seats I'm trying to purchase.

Ultimately, the only thing which fixes this is a quality team, fan experience and playing a style of football that's not like watching paint dry. Many of the original PSL owners are either too old or have moved. If the Titans want to have a new generation of fans attend games, they need to begin thinking differently.

I am strongly considering giving up my PSLs and purchasing a few home games each season in an area I want to sit.

TLDR: The Titans are to blame for the current situation and need to make changes if they want to fix it.

Yeah Houston’s stadium is nice but they also don’t have a problem with Texans fans going to games, despite the high prices.

Concessions and bathrooms aren’t much different in ether stadium Parking is a nightmare at NRG. Traffic is horrendous. It takes over an hour to get an Uber to take you 8 miles down the road. But yet Texans fans still show up and pay the premium price.

Seriously, I paid $124 a ticket for 2nd row 30 yard line at Nissan. 600’s for week 17 when the Texans were playing backups were going for over $100...

I’m not arguing the overall price of season tickets and the perks that come with it because that’s an entirely different argument but if you were to put just regular tickets up against most NFL teams I guarantee you the Titans would be one of the cheaper options.

That’s not to say it’s the fans fault or anything like that it’s just reality. It is more affordable to go to a Titans game than most other stadiums.

when given something to cheer about the Titan fans cheer...

and even back in the day Titan fans would leave early to jump the traffic if the game was a blowout... George Plaster was on the bridge during the Music City Miracle cause he was trying to beat traffic - LOL

Plaster was/is a radio sportscaster who knows a lot about the Braves but sadly was forced to talk about the Titans. Everyone here knows more about football than Plaster but HE was the main sportscaster till like 2010 or so... think he is around on one of those hobo AM stations.

Yea takes a lot more effort to go to a game than to turn on the television or miss it completely for church or some other silly place.

I appreciate the insight from all 3 of you. I didn’t know that was something the team did. However, I don’t think any of these comments are directed at season ticket holders.

My question is even though Titans sell a lot of ticket rights to brokers why can’t non season ticket holder Titans fans go buy them? If more non PSL fans bought tickets to the games there would be less tickets for visiting fans to grab, no?

If the product and experience was such that made a Titans fan want to outbid a visiting fan, I think they would.

We saw it with the Preds. Winning filled the streets with fans and locals paid out the nose to get into Bridgestone Arena.

I have some friends who have been Pred Season Ticket Holders from the start. They pay a ton. The last time we were together, they said they're considering giving them up because they no longer feel valued and the product on the ice isn't worth what they're paying.

I think loyal Titans PSL owners have felt this for a loooooooong time.

Having said that, what we've seen most of the second half of the season is the kind of entertaining football that will bring fans back. For those who went to a few of those games, you can feel that 1999 energy returning.

That's the part I don't buy. Again, I literally watched Titans fans walk out of a game in which we were destroying a division rival. Why would you leave a game if winning (or lack their of) is the main complaint?

I didn't notice much difference in fan experience between Nissan, NRG, or New Era. Only difference to me was the tailgates. The atmospheres are different but I don't think that's anything the team did to enhance it.
