I’ll give Lamar credit for his TDs this season, his TD % is through the roof, like way past average but also an unrealistic sustainable level. No one knows when that will taper off back to average BUT:
In the 5 games he threw more than 30 times, he totaled 8 TD. (2 of those were the losses and 2 more were 1 possession wins) Way less than his season average. He also had a lower comp %.
Also note that despite a pass happy league and his monster TD #, he had only 1 300 yard game passing.

He’s not a great passer and teams are doing the right thing by forcing him to throw.

Baltimore is a run first team and thrives off the success of Jackson’s legs as well as Ingram, not his arm.

Force him to pass and this game should get a lot closer in favor of Tennessee.

The Ravens offense will have success against this defense. I think one of the keys for the Titans will be to force the Ravens to settle for field goals instead of scoring touchdowns. Last week, the Patriots were 1/3 in their trips into the redzone and that made the difference in the game.

However, this is easier said than done as i believe the Ravens are one of, in not, the best redzone offense in the NFL while the Titans had one of the worst redzone defenses.

It will truly be a pick your poison for the Titans on Saturday night regarding Jackson legs and his arm. You'll see Saturday night.

Yea.. I figured you would go with TD passes and not yards or yards per attempt. I will agree with you that Lamar Jackson is a better runner than Mariota. That’s just my point. He is a running back that occasionalY throws the ball. He has only had 3 games where he threw the ball for more than 250 yards. Jeff Fisher would be proud.

Yards per game average 195. That’s Mariota stuff. Lamar Jackson isn’t a threat through the air. He is just another guy. He is a running back playing QB. In the NFL that won’t last long. You have had a great season. But it won’t last. Throw all the nice stats about TDS you want. Mary had games like that too.

Enjoy it. You may very well win it all this year. But don’t go around acting like Lamar Jackson is passing QB He isn’t He is a running back running a wildcat Type college system

My question is, is our run D good enough to stop their run game? We played well against the Pats, but our run D has taken a step back this year. It's not as good as it has been in the last year or two.

guessing you haven't watched much of his film. He is a pocket passer that happens to be a cheat code with his legs.
Really looking forward to the primetime show.

What the Ravens run is far from a wildcat offense, so right off the bat you have no idea what you're talking about. Then you say he is a "running back who occasionally throws"?? Well 36 TDs that led the NFL to only 6 INTS, and 3,127 yards passing says otherwise. And Jackson did not play in week 17 against Pittsburgh, otherwise those numbers would be even better. By comparrison, both Tannehill & Mariota threw for a COMBINED 3,945 yards, so Jackson did not do too shabby for a "running back" masquerading as a QB. Yards per average passing: Tannehill 228.5, Jackson 208.5 and Mariota 171.9. Your point here is what exactly??

Yes I am oversimplifying it by calling it a wildcat offense. But you are dead wrong about Tannehill vs Jackson. Please don’t embarrass yourself by comparing the 2 as passers Tannehill is the 2nd rated passer in the league and a far better passer than Jackson. He threw 2700 yards in 10 games not 15. He would have thrown for more than 4000 in a full season based in averages I don’t know where you got that 228 stat but Tannehill averaged 275 per game with a 70% completion rate. As a passer Lamar is a lot closer to Mariota than he is Tannehill. Like I said. I expect the Titans to lose I don’t think they can shut down other run game. But if you think Jackson is a pocket passer than can beat anybody through the air you are delusional. Once the Ravens get behind they are in trouble. If the Titans can accomplish that and keep Jackson in the pocket you guys are screwed. With no Ingram or a severely limited Ingram you guys become the Patriots. Making the Ravens pass evens out the game. I’m just not sure the Titans can do that.

Titans had the best TD red zone offensive scoring all year, and this includes the games Mariota flopped in, or it would be even higher.

    Offensive Redzone Scoring (TDs Only)
    TITANS 76.60% - Home 81.82% Away 72%
    RAVENS 67.19% - Home 62.96% Away 70.27%

    Defensive Redzone Scoring (TDs Only)
    TITANS 1.9 - Home 2.2 Away 1.7
    RAVENS 1.3 - Home 1.4 Away 1.2

    ________________________________

For comparison the Pats had a more impressive D in a game the Titans were supposed to lose.

    Defensive Redzone Scoring (TDs Only)
    PATRIOTS 0.9 Home 0.7 Away 1.2

We need the Ratbirds to be a little rusty to match the Titans notoriously slow starts. If the Titans keep it within 10 by the half, they have a real shot.

Obviously, the team who makes the fewest mistakes and wins the trenches will win but, if Henry get 25 touches in this game, I like our chances.
