We have the NFLs best QB and wed be foolish not to keep him?

 

Will 17 come back down to Earth? Of course! He is on record setting pace right now! But, him "coming back down to Earth" would still be playing at a top QB level.

I'm all about questioning moves and weighing other options. But, Tanny is here to stay. At the risk of being saying this over and over again... This is a match made in Heaven!

 

Do we? I know we have a QB that is on a great hot streak, and that streak is better than MM8 could have ever done, but is he really the best? Or is this another Case Keenum situation? What do we really get when the hot streak ends? Not saying it isn't better than we had, just not sure how good it really is and how much that's worth.

Not knocking him. Sure, Sign him, but leave an early out in the contract and keep searching for his eventual replacement.

And whats the alternative? Take a gamble on another QB who isnt currently here killing it?

 

Wasn't pitching an alternative. Signing him makes total sense. Just hoping we do a smart deal and try to find a good backup to protect ourselves in case the regression is more severe than we think.

Remember, half of us were all in on Marcus, and in his best games he never put up these numbers. We all have good reason to feel snakebit here- Young, Collins, Locker, Hasselbeck, Mettenberger, Fitzpatrick, Whitehurst, Cassel, Gabbert, Mariota - that's a lot of people who all had the opportunity to be THE GUY. Some might argue we should have kept Hasselbeck. Some on here swore that Mettenberger was the real deal. Collins had his chances. Locker and Young had more than their chances. To be fair, this is the best Titans team talent wise in more than a decade. After all of that it's easy to understand why people are skittish about the future. When a guy is performing at this level it deserves serious consideration. I hope this franchise has learned from its mistakes.

 

What case Keenum hot streak?

He’s never had a hot streak yet alone anything resembling what’s tHill is doing.
