2019 College Football Thread

This defense would have not fared well in the CFP. As bad as the Tua injury was, losing Moses was just as glaring. Throw losing McMillon again on top of it and you just knew there was trouble brewing after the defense had already started their slide last year. Saban has done a lot to modernize the offense, but it seems the defense has been left behind.

Really interesting talent coming in next year, and some guys that didn't get to play this year. I'm just worried about both sides of the ball gelling. 2020 could be another "rough" year, but 2021 we will be loaded with experience.

LSU the best team in the nation currently. And their schedule was tougher.

Watching army/navy and saw a weird play that I didn’t know if it was an actual rule or where it came from.

Navy scores TD then kicks off. On the KO, the army returning calls fair catch at the 1 yard line, ball moves out to the 20.

Is that an actual rule? A TB comes out to the 25 but a fair catch outside the EZ is auto 20?

 

yes you can fair catch kickoffs in the ncaa now

 

Well you always could, it just used to be like a PR where the FC is where the ball goes.
A fair catch at the 1 to get the ball at the 20 is a stupid rule.
