Pre-Game Thread Game 12: Titans @ Colts

In the Jags game, 1st Titans TD drive. 24 yard completion followed by a rushing TD by Tannehill.

Gotta say that the QB was the difference maker in this game. In the Mariota days, the opposition would load the line daring the QB to make a play. Sometimes it worked.

The Jags used the same game plan on Sunday and got their asses handed to them. Henry is an awesome talent that's only made more apparent by balanced offense. I think the Titans finally got their act together with Tannehill under center.

 

It would appear that way finally, Tanny’s got a strong arm and makes quick decisions and that has also played a large role in reducing the pressure on the O line which I believe has allowed them to run block better. The Colts D is very solid though so we have got to keep them honest by using play action, and taking some serious shots downfield (which I now feel we can finally do) as you mentioned so that we can open space up and allow Henry to get some momentum which always seemingly plays into him having big games. The added bonus of Tanny running has been quite nice too, I didn’t realize he is athletic as he is, he’s had a few big run plays and taken some hits that MM probably would have been out weeks following. Again, this Colts D is very good but I think we are seeing what a decent QB brings to an offense that was hamstrung by indecisive and ineffective QB play. I don’t always love Smiths play calling but he seems to be slowly adapting to Tannys strengths while still trying to be as balanced in our desire to run and chew up yards and wear defenses out.

 

Last time Tanny played the Colts he had 9 different receivers catch passes and threw 2 TDs and no INT...

The seams and the flats are where we need to attack them. I think the TEs will play a key along with Humphery being able to settle in the open spots of the zone.

 

We need to clean up our coverage on rb's this week, been a theme since the chargers game.

Lol that pass was horrible. Just stick to running the Rock Henry lol.

 

And the thing about us doing that is we have guys that can get open and running PA at the right time opens up our playbook. Gotta keep the defense guessing.

 

It was actually almost on the money (a little too much float). Had he not been interfered with that was a TD.
