Certainly not to dismiss everything Jackson is doing this year and he is having an MVP year BUT I’d like to consider his competition for a moment.

    Miami
    ARZ
    KC (known weak D)
    Cleveland
Pitts (good D, at least lately)
    Cin
    Seattle (suspect D, good team)
    NE (excellent D)
    Cin again
    Houston

For season #s the inflation helps beating down Cin twice and Miami.
He’s doing what a QB should be doing against some weak teams, maybe 3 tough games against a D.

Coincidently Jackson and Brees are the same pick number (32) but because Houston didn’t exist yet, brees is a 2nd rounder.

He’s playing great but I don’t think it’ll last sadly if he continues to play like this and run like he has been he will sustain some kind of injury and drop off the radar within 3 years.

Brady is the biggest steal when you look at when he was drafted and his body of work since.

Lamar Jackson is top 10 in rushing yards right now ... not for QBs, that’s the entire NFL with 788 rushing yards. He is on pace for for 1200+ RUSHING yards ... for a QB!!

that is wildly impressive for anyone, much less a QB. However, the NFL had NEVER seen this sustained. It’s hard enough for an RB to keep this up, much less a QB,

he is having an MVP type year right now, but we have seen this song and dance before, and it usually doesn’t end well.

sustainability is the key. Maybe he will break the mold? But history is not on his side

Pretty crazy. I definetly had him pinned as a bust coming out.

And then there's the fact that last year he was EXACTLY what I thought he would be. And then just lighting the damn league on fire this year.

Whatever he did during the off-season he should market and sell.

Wilson and Dak are way bigger steals. Brees was a 2nd rounder too.

Love what LJ is doing, but the question is can he do it consistently year after year and also stay healthy? That'll be the difference on whether he's a perennial MVP like Russell Wilson or a franchise QB that is inconsistent and can't stay off the IR like Scam Newton.

Yeah wrote him off after his passing game from last year. Was truly horrendous at times. Now he's making some amazing throws and is super accurate.

Makes you wonder just how good Mike Vick could've been had these type of offenses been around in the league 20 years ago. As good as LJ is, I've still yet to see a football player as talented as Vick.=
