*Heisman QBs - in the last decade they have fizzled but usually most have 1 good season.

Thank goodness all of these Mariota fans as opposed to Titans fans will soon be packing up and going to a different forum.

Just like all of the VY fans back in the day, I wonder where all of those morons are now that it’s long proven that VY just plain sucked and it wasn’t everyone else’s fault that he failed..lol?

Most those VY fans never admitted it. They're still blaming the Titans for "ruining" him. Much like Mariota fans will do.

    Critiquing Mariota

He's quoted as saying, "I have to do a better job". "I want to be the best player I can be for this team".

Ok, well this is how you can pull out the best in yourself.

    "Undefendable Offensive Play".
    Against Any Defense

The offense has 1 TE, 1 HB, 3 WRs.

The defense has LOLB, MLB, ROLB, FS, SS, 2 DBs, 2 DEs, 2 DTs.

Formation: QB in the shotgun, one WR to the left, HB left of QB, RE, two WRs to the far right. Ball is on the left hash.

Blocking:. The RG & RT double up on LE. Center blocks MLB and LT blocks ROLB. LG pulls to the right to block DLT.

QB gets the snap and sprints back diagonally to the right. The HB runs straight up field. The WR to the left runs a bomb pattern down the middle of the field The RE runs straight up the field. The WRs to the right run straight up field and one pulls back.

This is a designed run/pass option. Here's how it plays out. As the QB is sprinting diagonally to the right, the very first read is the LOLB. Is he staying at home or is he covering the RE? If he stays at home then the QB shuttle passes to the RE, however if the LOLB covers the RE then the QB looks to see if the HB is open to the left, if so he passes to him for a potential big gain. If not, then the QB quickly determines if the WR running the bomb route is double covered. If so, he decides if the DBs to the right are coming at him or not. If one or both converge on the QB then he passes to an open receiver. If they guard the receivers the QB runs and the receivers block their man.

There you have it, a successful play that you can run left or right over and over again. It's undefendable. Lol

There's no defense out there that you cannot grind up.

The bomb to the WR on the left is just a decoy to pull the safety. That leaves single coverage on the two WRs to the right. However if the safety doesn't take the bait and the WR has a step it means TD. If the LOLB stays at home and the center takes out the MLB then the TE has free sailing down the field. Away from the play on the left side, the HB draws the ROLB which the LT is aiming to take out leaving the HB practically alone on an empty side of the field. With the LOLB covering the TE, the QB will have an opening to run right there especially if the DB & SS fall back in coverage. If not, one of them will be burned. It's a cake walk. If the LOLB abandons the TE, well TE is still running down the field, it's a big pass play.

It doesn't matter what kind of defense is out there, they still need to cover the receivers. This offensive formation spreads the defense all over the field. They cannot effectively stop it.

All a defense can do to stop this is replace a DT with an extra LB or DB to strengthen that LOLB area so they can get to the QB. Then you would change the play. This is what you would do:

The RG blocks the LE, RT blocks the LOLB. If the extra LB or DB does not pick up the RE then he's burned. It's a fast shuttle or quick pass. The MLB is the only one in the vicinity to get him and he's being taken out of the play by the center. It's a win win situation.

All the Titans need are good blockers. Just run this play over and over again from hash to hash. Lol. They can't stop it no matter how hard they try.

Defense calls for a blitz, Mariota can't read the defense or see the blitz. Mariota runs right into the blitz. Down over.
