Nope, not disputing what you said at all. We're moving on now and lets see and hope Tammy can get us some wins.

Play Calling Is The Hardest Job In The NFL.

It's why the Titans go thru them like spendthrifts. None are proven to be high and mighty. All have one thing in common, They are come up shorters.

When I hear that Mariota has had all these play callers and have regressed, I cringe. The poor kid has been thru the mill.

Well Mariota is more experienced at what he does than these play callers are at what they do. Mariota is proven and deserves to be here whereas these play callers haven't proved a thing, all they've done is make Mariota look bad.

The Titan organization has gone hook, line and sinker with a greenhorn coach and his greenhorn sidekick, laying blame now on Mariota, destroying his career. It's no surprise they're all going down on a sinking ship. But just the same, ESPN, FOX, and others don't understand this game either. They don't know a play caller from a hole in the ground. All they know to do is be destructive toward young talent. Mariota's demotion is a pretty low blow and a hard pill to swallow for anyone who knows something about play calling. It's serving an injustice to one of the most exciting QBs to ever come out of college.

Play calling is hard, I know. Finding the right man is even harder. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. If you are wrong you owe the whole team an apology. The fact is, the organization has been wrong year after year and yet no apology is given. Now they have taken aim at Mariota and made him their scapegoat. They're clutces. Their wrongness has made a mess of things. The head needs to be cut off and that means new ownership. Until then I'm afraid the Titans will not see the light of day.

As for Mariota, he will see the light of day.

Tannehill is the answer!!! Dude hasn’t got a chance to play for a winner until now. Our defense has his back and he knows it!!! He will get us in the playoffs and we will roll from there!!!!

    What Are Others Saying?

"Canzano: Time for the Tennessee Titans to set Marcus Mariota free"

Three head coaches in five seasons. Four play callers, too. Sacked a league-high 25 times this season. The Titans have failed Mariota miserably. Their prized No. 2 overall 2015 draft pick hasn’t had continuity of system or personnel. He’s not been surrounded by nearly enough talent, and I’m hoping what happens next is his exit.

On a fundamental level, the Titans just aren’t a well-run NFL operation. They’re owned by “KSA Industries," a holding company owned and run by the heirs of legendary Houston Oilers’ owner Bud Adams. KSA also owns an interest in some walnut orchards in California, car dealerships and a cattle ranch. But when it comes to football, they are a disorganized outfit.

Ownership is splintered. The front office is unstable. And the football operations has been a revolving door. Give the Titans credit -- there’s total congruency in the franchise. Just not the good kind. The fact that Tennessee went 29-25 since Mariota was drafted in 2015 isn’t disappointing. It’s a blasted football miracle.

Until Sunday, Mariota’s play hadn’t been the problem, but weeks ago he was already being fashioned as the franchise scape goat, wasn’t he? Vrabel wasn’t going to bench himself for poor performance.

The front office wasn’t about to announce, “We’ve been bad, we’re going to let someone else try.”

Ownership would never admit it failed.

    So it’s on Mariota.

And I suspect current Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, a potential high pick himself, is also studying what’s happening with Mariota. If not, Herbert ought to be. Because being a top pick is great, but it also means part of the job is to somehow unwind generational mistakes, overcome bad franchise DNA and save a struggling franchise.

I’m holding out hope that Mariota doesn’t have to take another snap in a Titans uniform. That he sits for the rest of the season, or gets released today. Worst case, he gets set free at the end of his rookie contract and can sign with another team. Because he’d be a terrific fit with the right franchise.

You know, a stable NFL franchise with total congruency of vision from ownership to front office to coaching staff, on down. That is not at all the Tennessee Titans."

True but you’d have to give Tannehill a full season to make that comparison.

As for myself I don’t think Mariota is the only problem. When I was defending Mularkey it wasn’t because I thought he was great, but because I feared we wouldn’t get an upgrade. And here we are with HC and OC with no experience, learning as they go. The exact reason I wanted to keep Mularkey until we found someone proven better, not just Robinsons bunkbuddy.

No that’s not how math works.
    2/6 < 4/10
So if Tannehill wins 4 of the remaining 10 games his W/L ratio is actually better than Mariotas. However I put MORE than 4 because 33% vs 40% isn’t significant with the sample size.

I wouldnt say much. He def has a better deep ball but thats all. He still is inconsistent as Marcus is. A great here and there throw and then he turns around and does something really stupid. He has done this all his career in Miami. Marcus and Tammy are pretty much backup QBs in the league, in about year or two they'll be elsewhere holding that clipboard.
