Can you provide examples of the silent leaders?

You do realize we’ve already lost 4 out of 6 games right?? If we win more than 4 of the remaining games then Tannehill has improved on Mariotas W/L ratio for the season.

One thing that has been highly overrated is Marcus' win percentage. One of the biggest things people keep pointing to is how he led us to 3 straight 9-7 seasons and how he's just a winner. But how many times did we actually win in spite of him, not because of him?

From 2017 to present, there are 6 out of 19 wins where he had a QB rating less than 80. That doesn't take into account games like the Washington game last year where he was essentially a bystander throwing for 110 yards (0 TD's, 0 Ints), watching Henry run over people. Or the 9-6 game against the Jags last year where he came in off the bench in relief of Gabbert but only mustered 100 yards passing, no touchdowns or picks, but at least got 51 yards rushing.

In these 6 games he averaged 186 passing ypg, totaled 3 TD's, 4 INTs, and 9 sacks...and these were WINS!

So essentially 1/3 of the time we win a game, Marcus is a major hindrance to the team. Not just a mediocre or average, but actively bad or not productive at all. That doesn't even include losses that he has been absolutely horrible in.

At this point I would gladly take just an average QB, so if Tannehill can come in and just do that, the team should be miles better.

Brady isn't big? Isn't he like 6'4"? I agree with your points otherwise though.

Like many, I have no interest in a "mobile, dual threat" QB. I want someone who's smart, can read defenses, get through reads and have pocket awareness. Also who's accurate, doesn't necessarily need A cannon of an arm.

This. Just average will be an improvement.

The Titans Offense Is Predictable. Mariota Is Not To Blame. He Is A Scapegoat.

Much of being "predictable" has to do with "not knowing they're doing it". Coaching ignorance. Not meeting the criteria or qualifications of the job is why.

An offense shouldn't give away what they're about to do because the defense will adjust and make it especially difficult to run the play. In football, it's a cardinal sin.

Now there is nothing wrong with 5 receivers on the line of scrimmage with Mariota in the shotgun. However, in this formation, when was the last time you saw a designed QB run? Yeah, don't say never. Well if you've never seen it then it gets rather monotonously predictable, don't you think? Need I say, we've never seen it? It's just a little incriminating evidence against this coaching staff that they are to blame for this team's woes.

Can you honestly tell me that the Titans are even TRYING to trick the defense by designed plays? We not only don't see it but we don't get the sense at all that they're even trying. Yeah there is no obvious attempt by this coaching staff to fool the defense.

Vrabel, a former lineman, a coaching greenhorn is just forcing strength against strength to see who's better; and in so doing, in advance, he's giving the defense a heads up as to what the play is going to be. That's not to anyones benefit.

We don't see any trick plays from this coaching staff period. No laterals, shuttle passes, end arounds, screens, etc. Nothing to keep the defense honest. My God, how can you avoid losing? Forcing the defense to be honest is why you do it. It's how you open holes and free receivers. If Nashville was a football town there would be an uproar over this the likes we have never seen before. After week one, Vrabel would either have been fired or would have a tutor.

Football is a game of chess, you must outwit your opponent. You must be good at it or your team will lose. Greenhorn Vrabel and greenhorn Arthur Smith are responsible and accountable for this team's woes. They are the play callers and scapegoat Mariota is not to blame.

What fans should be telling this organization is "get smart". Until Pee Wee Herman can QB this team they're not advanced enough to be in this league.

Stopped at Mariota is “scapegoat.” The guy had 4+ seasons to prove himself. He is what he is. Titans didn’t ruin him. He just wasn’t cut out to be a successful pro.

Call a spade a spade, he sucked, plain and simple. He lost all his confidence and that's the bottom line. He had a quick release and made quick decisions but he never improved on it. The lost confidence prevented him from trusting himself and letting it rip. The benching can possibly do him good and light his fire and desire when he goes to a new team. But first thing he should do is visit a sports psychologist and get his head right.

Goff is mediocre at best. Yes he would be. Goff isnt that much of an upgrade over Tannehill.

I see where you're coming from, but if the Titans finish without 9 wins, then they haven't matched the 3 "winning" seasons they had that were 9-7 with Mariota.

I don't think it's likely that the Titans win 8 more games this year no matter who is QB, because that's not the only reason they're losing. When Tannehill starts getting sacked multiple times per game and the losses continue to pile up, I'm curious where the blame will be placed next.
