    "Tannehill replaced Mariota in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Broncos, an eventual 16-0 loss. It was Tannehill’s first action since the Titans traded for the former Dolphins starter back in March.

    Tannehill completed 13-of-16 passes for 144 yards with a 78.1 rating against the Broncos, but he was sacked four times."

    I really don't know what to say about that. They're both pretty much the same QB, and I don't see either one of them leading the team to a winning record this year, much less anything in the post-season.

    That's not an improvement.

    Sure. Probably so. However, I think this roster is better than any tannehill has played with previously.

    And frankly, if I'm gonna have bad, at least give me new bad. I'm tired of the old bad.

    Frankly, if tanny sucks, at least he will suck like a man, and take chances and throw a bunch of picks. That strikes me as better than watching mariota go into the fetal position all the time.

    Folks made excuses for Mariota for 5 years. We can certainly give Tannehill more than one half before we go saying he sucks/isn't an upgrade/whatever.

    Keys to the Game, IMO:

    1. 2nd-and-5: the Titans have a horrible 3rd down conversion rate of 29.5% which is 29th in the league. At home, that bad rate drops to 20.8%. The Titans have to be more effective on 1st down so they can stay more balanced on 2nd down and out of one-dimensional 3rd-and-long situations.

    2. 1st Quarter Score: The Titans haven't scored a point in the first quarter of any home this season. Playing from behind isn't a strong suit for the Titans and a nice opening drive would give Tanny & Co some confidence after the past two weak offensive performances.

    3. Get Henry Going: The run game has sputtered due to poor OL play and the Titans passing game not doing enough to keep opposing defenses from stacking the box. For a run-first offense, being ranked 20th in rushing isn't good (ranked 6th in 2018). The OL has to be much better and Tanny do enough with his arm to keep the Charger D honest so Henry has a chance to take over late in the game.
