2020 NFL Draft order: Dolphins No. 1; Browns, Eagles in top 15 PICK 7 Record: 2-4 (.412) Previous week: No. 11 This week's game: vs. Chargers Biggest needs: QB, OL, CB The Week 6 benching of Marcus Mariota tells us all we need to know about his future with the team, and Ryan Tannehill isn't the answer at quarterback. It would help if GM Jon Robinson gave his next QB a better O-line.
Of course if our O line performs as usual we will VAULT into the number 6 pick after losing ( and giving up 6-8 sacks), to the chargers.
If we can’t get a guy we love and a trade up isn’t an option it would be wise to take the best OL prospect available and roll with RT another year. Taking a QB you don’t love just for the sake of taking one is a terrible idea. Once a QB is picked the clock officially starts ticking on JR (if it hasn’t already).
I believe we have ample talent on the line, it boils down to coaching there. a high pick isn’t gonna do jack imo
Conklin and Kelly are both in contract years. Ben Jones has been average at best. Nate Davis is still a complete unknown. Saffold hasnt been what was promised, but I agree that could be coaching/scheme. All that to say, we certainly need to address OL in addition to QB. If we actually end up with the 6th pick and Herbert is around at 3 or 4, a trade up situation would be real interesting.
Herbert is nothing like Mariota. If you can take him you do...without any concern for where he went to college.
