I’ll start my rebuttal here with w/l are not a QB stat.
Anyone who says otherwise is a complete and total fool.

Second, while injuries are comparable (sort of), smith played 1 16 game season in his first 5, 2 10 game seasons (both better statistically than MM’s last 2 years) and 2 7 game seasons with a year off for injury.
He returned in 11 with his best season in SF.

While MM has had weapon after weapon either drafted or FA signed for him to still suck, can you recall the weapons smith had? Gore is it that I remember. Maybe Vernon Davis and Crabtree?

They either let Mariota be himself by scrambling and running or they play Tannehill. What’s to be lost by him getting injured now?
All this don’t run and take a hit and don’t throw it unless it’s a 100% certainty safety 1st stuff is killing the way he should be playing!!

Chicken and egg argument. Is mariota not good because he hasn't had good wr, or are they not good because they've been playing with him?

So how do the 17 people who voted that he will turn it around and get a new contract feel now?

How do you know that's a coaching issue and not a Mariota issue? I seriously doubt the coaches have been instructing him to play like a scared little biatch and take a bunch of sacks.

At this point - going off the QBs we've had over the years, including McNair - I'm almost convinced this organization doesn't want to develop players, much less QBs.

There are fans and, seemingly, people in charge that see the NCAA as a farm league. Very few players come in fully ready for the NFL. But too often, they are expected to have the tools and ability.

Colleges have no interest in preparing a player for the NFL... they have them a limited time to win NOW. So, whatever issues a player has, they mask them and try to win around them instead of attempting to correct it.

It is very hard to deny the FACT that Corey Davis looks like an entirely different player when Tannehill is the qb. Both in last weeks game and the preseason.
