I’m not hating on Tannehill at all but it’s EASY to have CONFIDENCE when you’re coming in for a starter that for whatever reason hasn’t shown much at all . Tannehill is pretty much playing with house money . I’m pulling for Tanny but let’s not get crazy . We got issues folks . QB, Oline , kicking, coaching etc.Mariota been sub par but also has carried a tremendous burden this year.

My point was THill at least has a pulse. Can’t say same for that cadaver that wears #8.

Yes- this is entirely on Amy and JRob and Vrabel I guess. We advanced Arthur Smith under the guise that there would not be a transition required to a new scheme, terminology etc hence Mariota would flourish. Unh huhh.

Hot take incoming (and probably gonna be very unpopular one)

But I am now convinced Mularkey had more to do with improving the team than JRob.

Mularkey and his staff didn’t break the mold with offensive execution by no means, but they were good at at least hiding the o-lines shortcomings. He pretty much knew Conklin wasn’t gonna be that guy and made him look good with chipping and a lot of help.

Does anyone here think Spain is actually a better guard than Saffold? Probably not, but his production was way better. I’m sure coaching and blocking concepts has something to do with it.

Sure, props to JRob for getting Byard and Jayon Brown. Evans looks like a good pick up too.

But If the talent was really better, and coaching is “improved” then why did this offense perform much better with the likes of Harry Douglas and Rishard Matthews? Robiskie was so ass, but the guy at least tried to scheme open our one playmaker in Delanie.

And why tf did Marcus for some odd reason have better chemistry with arguably the dumbest WR we have had in recent memory in DGB than he does with Davis? I don’t think anyone on this board would even think he is a better WR.

On top of that, the Vrabel hiring is strictly on JRob. Y’all forget Amy wanted to keep Mularkey cause she believed in Mariota (and he was entering only his 2nd year) and thought he did a good enough job of keeping him upright after firing Whiz. Tbf, that might be the only good thing Mularkey did for the offense.

Which sadly, is more than what Vrabel and Jrobs choices at OC can say.

Praise the roster turnover all you want, but this team went 9-7 Jrobs first season as a GM. Of 5 of those players who made the pro bowl, only 1 was a JRob guy (Murray) and made the playoffs his 2nd season as GM. That year we had 6 pro bowlers. 3 of them were JRob guys and one was ST Trawick who isn’t even on this team anymore. 2 years later with Vrabel, the team is regressing and looking worse. Last year we had 3 pro bowl players, and guess what? All 3 of em were already on the roster before Robinson took over.

I am aware the pro bowl isn’t the end all be all for top talent, and probably a couple players like Byard and Brown deserved to be there.

But I’m not gonna act like JRob has done more than mainly bring in below average to average players to fill this roster. Just now your actually seeing how sad it is that Mularkey was able to get more out of his players than Vrabel is, with “lesser talent.”

    13-3 defense, but 3-13 offense.

Ok , if it works for you but if Mariota did the exact same thing as Tannehill today you’d be ripping him a brand new one. Fact .

What’s all of this “We miss Malarkey” crap?

He sucked too, if he was so great at boosting below average talent then he would be a head coach somewhere else right now. Do you guys not remember laying two eggs in a row against the 49rs and Cardinals? Or losing to the winless Jags I think it was?

It’s pretty bad when we reminisce about the “good old days” with scrub coaches who may have or may not have been better than the dumpster fire we are witnessing now.

Why WHY do all of our Offensive coordinators look like they are mentally challenge !!!!!!!!??????

Art is shaking every time the camera is on him it's just ridicules.

Vrabel is getting annoying in a hurry he knows nothing about Xs and Os and I'm pretty sure he suffers from CTE.
