Gardner Minshew II

Brissett has at least had some impressive performances scattered over a couple different years. Not sold he’s really a legit starter but I’m closer to that thought for him than Minshew.
Guy has FOUR games. That’s it. At no point in any QBs life over the entirety of NFL history has someone ever been considered anything remotely close to permanent after four games of performance and there are many that have outperformed what he’s done.

So far, he’s Jeremy Lin except on a smaller scale. He’s not even level of flash in the pan yet. He’s game managed 4 games.

This is what happens when the Titans continuously fail with their QB, we see marginal guys like Minshew after a couple pretty average games and move him up the list of QBs among any number of comparisons.

 

Ok... the Jeremy Lin comparison I believe was mine originally. But I agree.

Be my guest in comparing him to Mariota, doesn’t change my point at all.
I’ll say he’s better than Luke Falk too if we’re just gonna throw out garbage QBs that we could argue Minshew is better than.

 

He's made some legit big time throws, at least 2 were against us with good coverage and he had perfect ball placement. And he's a rookie, so it isn't like he's some back-up that's been playing in the same system for several years. His performance so far is very impressive. Though certainly, whether he's a franchise QB or another Nick Foles remains to be seen.

 

How's this for a dry spell: on 11 straight dropbacks in the first half, Minshew went incompletion; 1-yard gain on third-and-7; sack; four incompletions in a row; two sacks in a row; 9-yard gain on second-and-16; incompletion
