    The whole point is to get rid of the ball and beat the LBer before he gets home, hitting the receiver in the area the LBer vacated.

    A lot of studies have actually shown that the run game doesn't necessarily have to be highly effective to make playaction work.

    Kirk Cousins was one of the best playaction passers in the league with no run for the Redskins or Vikings in 2018 for instance. The mere act of the playaction naturally pulls the Lbs forward

    It’s basically grading the individual blocking matchups on the Oline as a group. It’s determined at the rate at which the OL sustains its blocks for 2.5 seconds on pass plays.
