Pre-Game Thread Game 5: Bills @ Titans

We gotta get to 4-2, and after that, we'll find out who we really are as we take on the mediocre teams with similar qb questions like us. The midterm will be weeks 7-9. And Then we get our real test against KC. But there is no reason we can't compete with everyone else on the schedule unless the team is mentally challenged. We could be a really bad 7-2 team if we just show up given how weak everyone else is.

 

I just want payback for last year. That's the game that stings looking back on it. If Nick Williams catches that pass, we win the game and are 10-6.

Mariota is going to have to throw the ball well this game because I don't see Henry having much room to run.

 

The most important player this week is the return of our All-pro LT Taylor Lewan. If he bangs out the gate then I expect another strong game by Mariota and an even stronger game from Derrick Henry. If he struggles then this is going to be an ugly game.

 

That may be true but their play calling is about as bad as I've seen this year, almost as bad as the Titans. A matter of fact, the NFL is so sloppy it's getting "bottom of the barrel" disgusting. It's not exciting to watch anymore, nobody works for a living on the sideline, it's monotonous and boring each and every week. A good run, a pass completion, big wow! I'm not seeing good play calling but I'm hearing a lot about players who are not cutting it.

Hey, I have not seen one team that isn't a sloppy mess, it's rat ball is what it is. No genius going into it at all. You make a big deal about defense, but a good defense can be obliterated if you have smarrtz. If you do your darn homework and work hard throughout the game calling plays.

The best of the best is out there on the field and they deserve to be there, the ones who do not deserve to be there are the play callers who in my opinion are lousy at winning and making the game interesting.

I haven't seen the Titans call a QB sneak on first down all year, no screen on FD, no bomb on FD, no option plays to speak of. Where's the three running backs? Three tight ends? Five receivers? Where's the laterals, QB runs, end arounds? No shuttle passes or passes to the HB. No, it's all predictable running plays and passes, not tricking anyone.

Football is a chess game where you make plays to outwit your opponent. Players merely do what the coaches are telling them and if they look bad why point the finger at them? The problem with the Titans and most other teams in the NFL are the ones calling the plays, they are lousy at chess.

 

Even with a backup QB the bills defense is really good.

 

Nasty D this week! Interested to see how we do...

 

I would like to think that hearing about the billlls defense all week leading up to Sunday's game would help add some fire to our Defense to show something extra this Sunday.
