Mariota had a good game today. He had 2 bad games before that, and a good game the opener.

This is what I have come to expect from Mariota. Some weeks he looks GREAT, some weeks he SUCKS.

Over all, he is average, not bad, not good.

I still believe he has potential, I just no longer think he will realize that potential.

On a positive note: 4 games, 7 TD passes ZERO interceptions.
Thats a BIG improvement over last year.

Lewis had 4 carries, BDH had 27 for the game.

That is a large improvement despite the poor 4th down call. (Play and choice not to kick FG)

 

We played fisherball without the fg in the second half. It was the right move but not exactly exciting to watch.

It’s pointless to project stats out for 12 games from now. Especially with Mariota. Will we get the good Mariota or the Mariota who looks like he’s in his first start in the league? Both are equally possible at this point. And that’s the scary part of this whole thing. And we haven’t even had any injuries yet. And his history strongly suggests they’re coming. no way he gets extended. Too inconsistent and too much of a gamble to bet $100 million on.
