He's not finding success anywhere else, just like Young and Locker. Some people just aren't good.

 

Until this organization gets its **** together and properly supports a franchise QB... I'm in agreement.

As for Mariota... the damage is done. I believe he, essentially, has PTSD.

Took me a long time but I voted for done. Mainly after watching other young QBs this week. Is there a team in the league that would take MM over thier current qb?

And hey... There may be some truth there. Perhaps if Mary had gone to a better organization, with more stable coaching and better personnel from the start, he would have succeeded. Who knows?

Of course it's irrelevant. He was drafted by this dumpster fire of an organization, and he's toast. Whether he was always toast or we toasted him... Who cares.

 

Most top draft pick QBs don't go to teams loaded with elite personnel from the start. That's the whole reason they were picking that high in the first place.

I feel like basically every move this organization has made since drafting Mariota has been for the benefit of Mariota. Conklin, Davis, Brown, Humphries, Saffold, etc. We even were willing to extend a terrible HC in Mike Mularkey because Mariota was having some small level of success with him. Then we bring in one of the hottest offensive coaching names out there at the time in Lafleur. Go figure, that doesn't work out either. Then we let Arthur basically revert to Mularkey ball.

All of this FOR Marcus. We've bent over backwards for the guy to be completely honest. And he still can't cut it.
