    If he stinks it up the first half in Atlanta, I think we'll see Tanny get his shot and share first-team reps leading up to Buffalo.

    If Mariota has another game like the last two and he doesn't dramatically improve in ATL, you can bet the fans will be the ones setting fire to the turf if he is the starter when Buffalo comes to town.

    We fail Mariota never give him a coach or a legit system to win and improve.

    In the future we have to get a REAL offensive coordinator no matter what the cost is.

    We got a no huddle QB playing 90s I formation football It makes 0 sense.

    Every coach he has had outside of Robiski has come on as some type of "genius" and then after a few practices revert right back to the Mariota ball.
    Then we hire Smith so Mariota has the same terminology, once again to help him, and he is hopeless.
    It isn't the coaches, it is that qb who cannot perform up to NFL standards.

    Head Coaches have to worry about the whole team, not just one position.

    Don’t like rooting for injuries and he seems like a nice enough guy, but maybe he should just take a dive, say he’s hurt and let THill have a chance.

    Owner and coaches won’t make the move otherwise.

    The coaches have to be thinking exactly the same as the rest of the sports world.. it is just a matter of time until he goes down and then they can see what Tannehill can do. I don't think anyone, anywhere thinks Mariota will play every snap through the season.

    Mike Sando of The Athletic uncovered at least one reason for Mariota’s continued struggles:



    “The familiar part appeared under the column for touchdown passes,” writes Sando. “Mariota had zero (vs. Jaguars on Thursday) for the 22nd time in 58 starts since entering the NFL in 2015. That’s seven more than any other quarterback over those four-plus seasons. It’s the most for any quarterback in his first 58 starts over the past 20 seasons. Mariota has 19 starts without a passing or rushing score, six more than any quarterback since he entered the league. The recently benched Eli Manning is next.”

    The more tape I see from Thursday night of plays being left on the field the more frustrated I get with Mariota. Just inexcusable.
