Game Day Thread Steelers @ Titans GDT

Thought the highsky was dizzying, and distracted, but I think if you focus downfield it wouldn't be so bad. It would take some getting used to for most of us. But felt like was missing more than I was getting.

 

Three concerning things that I see so far!


1. The interior of the offense-line looks horrible at the moment.


2. Our pass rush is almost nonexistent


3. Marcus needs to be sharper, he missed some easy throws yesterday early in the ball game.


It’s preseason so I wouldn’t panic yet, but these are three really big concerns. We have to be able to protect our quarterback. Marcus also really needs to start pushing the ball accurately down the field

 

Do I have concerns about the team? Yep, specifically O and D line and if Henry puts out the entire year. I'm not even going into the QB, ILB depth, or OC situation.
But to sell out for a PSG#3 game,in a rain storm, is just short sighted and stupid.
The problems we have were not going to be fixed in PSG#3.

 

To be fair, MM8 threw 3 passes and 2 of them were 100% drops, the 3rd was tougher but should have still been caught.

 

The O-line was totally horrific.

 

But on the crossing pattern, you just look at that and go, even on the xbox I know to hold it just a fraction longer to allow him to clear the safety before I try to throw it. The throw was right in front of him and if he just waits a fraction the guy is in space. How did he not see that. There are simple things he could do to make things easier for himself.

 

3 drops by the receivers isnt on Marcus. Sure he could have placed better balls on one of the throws, but these guys are professional WR's, they should catch anything they can touch.

Hopkins catches balls with 2 fingers. OBJ catches balls between his legs. Julio Jones upside down catches those throws....

Whats the deal with Landry?

Is he hurt? He hasnt played at all in ps

 

I’m 100% serious . Early in the first he overthrew Davis going up the sideline . Them aren’t throws we have to have. I’m not putting all of this on Marcus please don’t even go there.

He missed some throws last night that we can’t be missing. This offense and this team could be something special if we could push the ball down the field vertically. The line was terrible last night and the pass rush was trash as well
