I have to say I am on the Kelly bandwagon as well. As I have been saying since Conk went out hurt, when he returns he should be moved to guard and Kelly continue at RT for the time being. If Conk shows he has kept his versatility and movement, then move him back to RT, but why take out someone we know is doing the job to experiment with Conk?

Because it's not an experiment and because when Conk played RT at his best he was an all-pro...Kelly will never be that.

Conk will have an entire training camp for them to assess if he can do the job. If he can and has returned to form he starts at tackle. If he can’t then you figure what to do with him. So there is no experiment. They will make a decision based on what they see on the field during training camp.

Glad to see you know that Conk is "at his best" again. Good news. Absolutely, in that case, keep him at RT. Just curious, where did you get this info from? I haven't seen it anywhere.

Oh, wow, an entire training camp huh? That is fantastic. That is such a long time for them to access him. There is no way there could possibly be any question marks on any player ever after they have gone through training camp. I am so glad there are such informative posters on this board.

When you assessing how a player has bounced back from injury training camp can tell a team a lot. Last year he didn’t play during training camp or preseason, so they had to find out in a game. If they had seen him preseason last year they likely would have kept him out longer. No reason they can’t have a good sense of where he is at during training camp and preseason. Will it answer all questions? Maybe not, but they will have a lot of information to go on...unlike last year.
