I expect him to do 1000+, however there are more weapons now. So that could eat into some of his numbers

Mary gonna have to throw for 5k for every target to not disappoint gotitans.

I expect like 900 yards from CD. And I'm fine with that, if he makes big plays and doesn't make many mistakes.

Every stat can be as meaningless or meaningful as people want for them to be. It indicates that he needed quite a bit of separation on average in order to even get a chance at making a play, esp. compared to the volume receivers around the league whose production we want to see out of Davis.

More weapons means more passing I'd hope. And hes the best we got. He should see a bump in production hopefully

You dont see Mary throw guys open much, so this isnt on the WRs. It's on the QB waiting too long to throw.

You give anyone time and they can separate from DBs

His game-to-game states were anemic last season. He broke 100 yards twice, and was held under 50 10 times. He averaged 45 yards over his last 7 games.

I'd call him a bust but there hasn't been a 1st round WR who has been worth the pick since the 2014 draft. Shockingly, Corey Davis has been the same or better than 13 of the last 14 1st round WRs (Amari Cooper).

Maybe teams just need to stop taking early first round WRs because unless they become a pro-bowler, they're not worth it.

But anyway, Davis is talented. Hopefully he'll put up solid, albeit replaceable, numbers and make a few big plays to help us win some games. Expecting more is probably asking too much. He isn't TO, or Julio, or even AJ Green or Mike Evans. He's a slightly above average WR if that.

He has superstar potential for sure, now it’s a matter of if he can put it all together and if MM can get him the ball.

The touchdown vs the Pats and the run after the catch before he fumbled at the goal line against the Bengals are examples of Superstar potential:

When he was targeted more than 7 times, he averaged over 100 YPG. It's like the WR actually needs opportunities in order to be productive.

I have no issues with Davis, and like our weapons as a group this year. The problem has mainly been at the other end of the pass hookup. WR don't produce without targets, I don't care who it is.

Id hope that we throw more this year. It's dumb to have invested as much in weapons as we have if we're going to throw as little as we have been.

Tend to think we will throw some more.

We went out and invested in 2 OL, 2 WR, and we never replaced our blocking TE/lead blocker...

The only thing that makes me wonder is; our RBs suck at blitz pickups. So if we do want to throw it more it will have to be timing plays/play action. Which I am all for!
