He went vegan at the end of 2016 season. And had a really good season (for him) in 2017.

His response was one of the dumbest things I've read in a long time.

He was never great. But he was a solid starter for most of a decade. A time when the front office never could assemble even a half decent roster. He got to retire rich and with his health. Hard to argue with that.

I believe he was a class act with this organization. Much respect and hope he enjoys retirement.

You are? Please show me where the majority of humanity, over the history of recorded time, has subsided on a diet of animal flesh.

I love a good steak. Filet, porterhouse, ribeye... I love a good burger. I really like pork chops and bacon and pork belly. I love good seafood. Lamb and goat are tasty, too. But, these are not the norms for an every day diet. The only reason you think they are is because you live in a country that has made meat a cheap source of food. A vegan diet is closer to what the majority of the world has lived on for thousands of years.

He was often "close to a sack"....I guess you could say he put pressure on the qb over his career. He made good money for a couple of contracts.....maybe he will NOT be the average retired NFL player.....broke after 3 years of retirement. He seemed smarter than the average.

I always think back to the 2010 Draft and holding my breath hoping JPP would be there. If Ruston (or was it Reinfeldt back then?) had had the feel for the draft and the guts to make a move to move up and draft JPP instead, just think what could have been. As a comparison, Morgan has 44.5 career sacks. JPP has 71.

Anyway, I don't hate the guy. He always played with effort and was a good locker room presence. I wish him well.

Sure. But, meat has been a luxury for the vast majority of history. I’m pretty sure I’m not the dumb one here.
