Wentz got signed early and we’re still waiting on Mary’s 5th year to see who he is.

which one of you dumbasses said mariota was getting 110+ mil, when wentz who played at an MVP level got 128 mil. He's going to sign for about 4 years 80-90 mil with about 55 guarenteed.

He hasn't shown to be worth even your sweetheart deal yet.

And why would he take such a low deal? There is never a shortage of teams willing to pay stupid QB money. See garapolo, cousins, Smith, Bradford, etc.

And the Mariota led Titans already beat Wentz when they were still contenders. Your point?

You're supposed to get a QB to elevate your team. I'm not scared of Wentz and the Eagles. Or Brady and the Pats honestly.

The Eagles took a chance but, if Wentz stays relatively healthy, it'll be a steal.

no... wentz got 4 years 128mil, which is like 32mil per season. in total for the 6 years he gets something like 156mil (they didnt change the remaining 2 rookie years on his deal at all)

if mariota got 110mil I think we would assume it would be across 5 years, averaging something like 22mil per season (this seems low and i doubt he would agree to it, he'd probably rather do a smaller deal and bet on himself)

the extra year makes all the difference here. 110mil across 5 isnt that crazy and is actually extremely low for starting qb money.

If he received an offer like that right now, he would sign it in a heartbeat. He could easily bet on himself and end up on IR again, assuring that he never received a long term offer with guarantees again.

yeah well not everyone is as pessimistic as you. most people believe in themselves. if I were offered 22mil/season in his position, i'd take a 2-3 year deal and hope things go my way for a big payday after that. i think most would.

Yes, some people are stupid. To not accept that offer after his recent injury history and performance would be incredibly stupid. That's where an agent comes in and talks sense into him. Anyway, this is an honorable organization. If he outperforms his contract, they'll get started on the next one early or do some restructuring to make sure that he's taken care of and rewarded for his play. LA and Minnesota did the same for Hayward and Thielen
