I’m sorry, I’m a fan of Mariota but where the **** are these elite stats you are talking about??

You have to be trolling.

 

That was because of LaFluer. Mariota was awful on third down and in general during the previous year

 

No QB has gone up against more top 10 ranked defenses than Mariota the last 2 years, while also sporting 25th or worse ranked OL , so 9-7 the last two years and decent stats, more victories against playoffs than any team in NFL in that period isn't so bad.

 

If you are going to make an argument, don't make stuff up.

It's always nice to cherry pick stuff to make him look in the worst possible light. Why are you going back 2 years? perhaps because two years ago was by far his worst season so it can make all his stats look worse. Try keeping it to last season alone...or his whole career.

Last year he had 8 games of 90+ qb play. But that's an improvement over the 6 games in the regular season the year before. I assume you forgot to include the two playoff games which would bring his 2017 total to 8 (we'll give him the 88.8 versus KC and I'm not counting the 80.8 for him). So even your cherry picked stats are incorrect.

And you're counting multiple games in the negative column that he didn't play the whole game.

Point is, using your metric, he's not as bad as you made him sound...but he needs to still be much more consistent! He needs to be at the top of his game for 10+ games this year!
