    I mean, he's a 5th rounder. There might be 30-75 guys who aren't projects.

I haven't heard or read anything bad about Walker.

JC Brave seems to have himself confused with Vrabel.

Here's the video, 22:15 for Vrabel on Walker

While the "ummm" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement, I wouldn't put too much stock into what's being said the second day of rookie mini camp.

I mean, the kid is a 5th rounder. If we get decent service out of him, great. If he flops, whatever. Late round swing and miss. Is what it is....

Walker was a 2nd round prospect, that we stole in the 5th....

Even if some may view him as a 'project' --- he still might be a bigger steal than Amani is... Although Amani stands extreme potential to produce RIGHT away.

Don't forget.... Jayon Brown was a 5th round pick..

We've been pretty solid with the 4 5th rounders we've snagged under JROB. Never really taking HUGE PROJECTS.

    2016 LeShaun Sims
    2017 Jayon Brown

I think DeAndre is going to add to JROB's reputation of landing solids in the 5th round. Alot GM's do a good to land solids in the 1st THREE rounds lol

"This guy was a second round player that every GM passed on four times, including the guy who finally picked him."

    You guys are dumb.

Jalen Ramsey was passed on by 4 GMs... He must suck

Fact of the matter is DeAndre was a heavy selection in 2nd round mocks across the sports community. Former scouts even had him pegged as 2nd-3rd round talent.

The REASON he was passed in 4 rounds was of need, and necessity... Some teams address them early, and others address them in the middle... From anaylsis of the draft, teams that NEEDED EDGES went early... For example, the Patriots... they NEEDED an EDGE - they addressed it in the 2nd. with Winovich..... Ergo they didn't need an edge in the 5th.

JROB was just playing the flow and timing of the draft. He saw EDGEs and DT's were flying off the board like crazy in the 1st and 2nd rounds - so he knew those same teams would be prodding at other needs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th.. It's not a very hard analysis.
