LOL! I like how you argue yourself into circles...struggling to convince yourself of your own credibility!

The problem is, you're a hater. You've made so many posts that show this because you don't argue in logic, you argue in emotion. And since you're a hater, you assume anyone who doesn't agree with you is a 'lover' of Mariota. There are those of us who just see it like it is. We criticize Mariota for stuff he does poorly...and criticize everyone else for their bad play too.

But this is why you make silly school yard claims "If the roles were reversed, you'd be saying that Mariota was stellar and Tannehill was trash." First, no one said Mariota was stellar and no one said tannehill was trash. Oh...except YOU!

Mariota looked AWFUL??? Why? More importantly, in the next line you said no one should be judged on a pre-season game (which you literally just did)...and then did it again saying that's why the coaching staff is trying to hide him. Come on, man!!! You just contradicted yourself in the same paragraph!

And you're claim they only let him throw middle screens? Another nonsensical comment disproven by simply WATCHING the tape you provided. Does Mariota throw 20 middle screens? I'll save you the time. NO!

Oh, and playaction is so easy anyone can do it? LOL! It is EASIER...not easy. And the GOAL of this offense is to have such a good running attack that we can make big plays happen in the passing game doing playaction. If playaction is so easy, why don'twe only call those plays? Why doesn't every NFL QB have a 148 passer rating on playaction passes?

And to top it all off, you're trying to argue we care about style points over WINNING!!!??? LOL! Tannehill is SO GOOD, he makes everything look easy and that's why we don't like him? Unlike you, we like players that help us win regardless of the name on their jersey.

If Mariota throws the winning TD pass, we'll be cheering...but you'll be sulking and muttering..."Tannehill would have done it better...or made it look easier. Mariota stinks!"

If Mariota gets hurt and Tannehill comes in and throws the game winning TD, we'll be cheering. But all you'll be talking about is how much better Tannehill is compared to Mariota.

Very little of what you wrote is correct...even though I believe that you THINK it is.

So you agree that Tannehill is a one read guy? That would be BAD! How is this different from Mariota? Because Mariota, given some time, goes through his progressions until he finds someone open. He has received fair criticism at times for holding the ball too long. Guess what he's doing...READING the defense and going through progressions. Very different.

Your incorrect over-generalizations (he can't throw with touch or anticipation or avoids coverage or can't make throws with people in his face or throw on the run)...are all wrong. He CAN do those things and HAS done those things.

The problem with BOTH QB's is that neither is CONSISTENT enough doing them. Mariota is a better thrower between the numbers while Tannehill tends to play his best outside the numbers.

We've asked as little as you can out of Mariota? Wrong. And then you say for good reason? Again, you make stuff up and then comment on your own conclusion as if either were correct - they aren't.

And your last conclusion...that Tannehill the vet can do everything Mariota can do and more? Not many qb's get better after 30. Tannehill is who he is as a QB. Our OC's might be able to be better at playing to his strengths and covering his weaknesses, but he is unlikely to get better at the skills and traits of playing the position. Mariota is 25 so there is still time for him to grow and get better.

And btw, when you say things like...at least Tannehill is accurate, you might want to know the stats don't support your claim. Mariota had a much higher completion percentage....this year (and for their careers). Your response to this will probably be...yeah but Mariota only throws short middle screens 20 times a game. But the fact that Mariota also has a higher YPA throwing the ball negates this. Again, Mariota beats him last season and for his career. Just a little tip.

Help push and compete means, "Marcus ain't getting it done, this guy will either push him to get it done, or replace him if he doesn't."

In order to throw the ball downfield, you need PROTECTION which he had little of. I bet Vrabel asked the OL to protect better. I guess they didn't listen to him, huh?

31 20+ yard passing plays and 5 40yd passing plays on only 25 attempts? Talk about efficiency!!!

So are you advocating Mariota should not go through his progressions and just chuck it up? Or should he follow his progressions as he's been coached to do?

You might also consider that Mariota lost some faith in Taylor...our big play deep threat due to him dropping some BIG plays!

Mariota did have a higher YPA than Tannehill did.

I think you should speak for yourself. I'd bet everyone who has watched him play has seen these things. They happen in every game.

Guess you're not watching the Titans.

He didn't say it was a big part of his game...YOU said he hadn't done it! You've just been shown proof (again and again and again) that what you're saying is WRONG!!!

How many times do you want to make silly (and easily provably false) comments only to have it be shown to be wrong!

For someone who claims to be a Titans fan, you don't appear to watch the games. Did you watch the playoff game where Mariota scrambled and caught his own pass and scored? Was that extending the play and going off script?

Why would you think he can't improve?

I seriously doubt Mariota is fighting for his job. This is not gonna be an open competition. Mariota has a contract to play for and that trumps everything else since we are talking huge money.

Aka, still Mariota’s job to lose which I think is what ABC was arguing that THill has a shot at taking his starting position before the regular season.
    That’s just not happening.

I would disagree on this. Playaction is actually not easier than your standard dropback or shotgun pass play. Why? Because with a good playaction you have to turn your back to the field and can't see what's going on until you're done with the fake. This means you have less time to scan the field for options.
Good playaction looks easy, but it requires the QB to process the field faster than a regular pass play.
