Point is being OK with drops is unacceptable. Can’t move ball with drops!

Yeah I agree that Receivers should do better catching the ball, especially with the tacky gloves...That said, I did see Mariota throw some bad balls to wide open receivers too. It’s a mix. I’m more concerned with his chemistry with receivers.

I don't think that AJ immediately takes the job as easily as most here seem to think.

If Taylor does slot into the 4th receiver spot (and he will at some point), I think they'll force a couple of touches per game. And he'll make a couple of big plays.

    Valuable option? No.

    Decent depth? Yes.

No question about it that AJ immediately takes over starting duties opposite of Corey Davis. He will only be competing with Taylor and Sharpe. Calling this a competition may even be a stretch. I like Taylor as depth but those two are not starting caliber nfl receivers.

You're right, focus drops can be corrected. But Taylor's problem isn't focus, it's hand eye coordination and his reluctancy to catch the ball away from his body. He's just not a natural catcher and never will be.

I'm not saying he's useless, his speed can still be valuable to our team as a 4th or 5th receiver.

I can see him being a bigger factor now.

Taylor can ball out when the ball is in his hand. His issues are the crucial drops. He gets big time separation, but we all know separation means nothing if you can't catch the ball.

We can use him like the Chargers use Travis Benjamin.

Taywan going to make some big catches for us this year. Mark my word!

At the end of the day, this is a great problem to have.

4 or 5 years ago, Taywan would've been our best WR.

I don't see Vrabel as the kind of guy that is going to give anyone a spot. So AJ and Humphries will have to earn their looks. And if Taylor makes plays and/or either of those guys slip up at all, he'll get snaps.
