Titans Decline Conklin's 5th Year Option

Wow, I didn't know that. Kelly was a lot better at RT last season than Conklin.

 

Man, out of that whole haul for the 1st pick, the first 3 players we got were Conklin, Dodd, and Austin Johnson. That's straight @$$.

 

I believe Corey Davis was drafted the following year with one of the picks acquired in that deal as well.

 

Yeah, it wasn't all bad. I was referring to the first 3 picks though.

 

The longer we go, JRob will be more of a bpa drafter I think.

That's hard to do when you have GAPING holes on a sh!try roster. But as he builds a roster, he can do more things like the Simmons pick and maximize value.

 

Hey, Albert was a DOMINATE DT, perhaps THE DOMINATE D PLAYER IN THE NFL for about 3 years.....before he got paid.

 

Didn’t we have different scouts and coaches then too? I mean listen, draft picks are a crapshoot. Conk was awesome coming out, I really liked his game. Should they have traded 3 early picks? Probably not...Hindsight is 20-20 on many picks. I’m willing to see what he can do this year. I mean as it stands, should we have spent a #2 overall on Mariota? Hell no.....

 

Agreed. I think we are pretty solid at this point and any additions are to upgrade not to fill a hole.

 

You may be right but he’s been our MVP . He’s won games practically singlehandedly and in the clutch and we’ve been total garbage when he’s been hurt . With him on the field we have a chance to beat anyone (except maybe the colts lol) . I’m so happy to have Tanny tho. Folks need to relax a little on Marcus , if he has a year like his second year this year , he was well worth the 2nd pick.

 

Enough with this hyperbole. The defense allowed 14 PPG during our victories last year, it would take an awful QB to not win in those circumstances. And we've been 3-2 since 16 without him, which is an improvement over our winning % with him
