Hopefully Jones gets it together with some upgrades on both sides. This looks like a solid pick, I just hope he can crack the starting lineup early!

Oh yea this guy already won the job IMO.

Not that worried about Corey Levin somehow finding his way onto the field now.

scouting reports say he is very raw, especially when it comes to pass protection. though maybe a move to OG will help.

I have read conflicting reports. Some say raw, some say technically very sound with easy transition to pros. Probably means no scout spent 2 minutes looking at him and just making assumptions. Apparently, most people who watched him at the senior bowl came away with a favorable impression.

well never mind, cant find any other cut-ups of this kid

I think playing in confined space like a Guard does will make this pick look better.

The thing I didn't like about this pick was who was left on the board. I was actually wanting Jaylon Ferguson in the 2nd (although I love the AJ Brown pick) and for him to be there - the leading sacker in the history of college football, who fits a need for us - and to pass on him was really disappointing.

Also, there were 2 O-linemen I liked better than Davis (though granted I haven't seen too much of him) Chuma Edoga, and Yondy Cajuste, they both face higher level competition and I liked both of their games.

It just looks to me like Davis is rough around the edges and is going to need some work. Not that he can't get there, but the others we passed up probably wouldn't need as much work.
