Great pick. He might not contribute this year at all, but still a great pick. Now go get suh.

He did a bad, stupid thing. But he seems to have learned from it and got his life on track.

Honestly, at some point you need to move on from drafting clean locker room guys, and get some elite talent that can play football. This guy is a top talent in the draft, and would have been top 10 if not for the injury. JR did his job in FA filling holes so he could take a BPA risk like Simmons, while landing a solid WR and G in the next 2 rounds. I wanted IOL early, but as I've said for years now, #InJRiTrust.

Just think about where this roster is, compared to 4 years ago. It's silly really. And if he's ready after the bye, which is a possibility, this team could make a big push.

I'd say this team will go as far as Mariota will take it. But with Tannehill as the backup, damn I'm excited for the season.

This is the perfect example of a guy I'm willing to take a character risk on. Incident was long ago. He was a juvenile. He has grown and demonstrated change. If he was applying to a normal job, this record would likely be sealed or expunged anyway. And hes got upside for miles.

I expect nothing from him in 2019. Even when he gets back, he still won't be 100%, and he will still be a rookie who has never taken a snap. Now, if he is clearly better than our other two clowns from the jump, so be it.

Worst case we traded our 19th pick for a top 5 pick next year. I would do that trade any day, any draft.

    1. In the high school video those were clearly show punches, you could tell he wasn't putting nearly his strength into them. Even then you could see he knew it wasn't right to beat on someone on the ground, regardless of gender. Mob mentality IMO.

    2. Dude is up and around walking just fine right now and should start running in a couple weeks. I think he will DEFINITELY play this year.

Not a wasted pick..like an earlier poster said, I would rather have a top 5 pick contribute next year than a average pick at 19 maybe not contribute
