Although the Titans’ bookend tackles of Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin – both former first-round picks – performed slightly better than the interior trio, the Tennessee offensive line might be the most balanced unit in the league, where there is the smallest difference between the weakest link and the best performer. Their offensive line was able to consistently create space on inside zone runs – the Titans’ most frequently used run concept – as their backs averaged 2.12 yards before contact on these runs, the third-highest in the league and significantly more than the league average of 1.56 yards before contact. In addition, the Titans finished the regular season with a pass-blocking efficiency rating of 82.3, which was tied for the third-highest rating in the league as they surrendered 126 total pressures – and just 14 sacks – on 553 pass-blocking snaps.

I guess we upgraded our line for no FN reason then, we just waisted a sheet ton of money. You know more than JRob and Varbel and Stats never lie. you are right and everyone one else is wrong...my bad

He said 2018, not that I put a lot of stock in PFF anyway.

 

Considering the topic of Indy, we fixed that QB problem. I promise Gabbert will not start against the Colts this year (for the titans at least).

The offense gets a new guard, a new WR, their TE back, their QB back for Indy matchups.
On D, the got rid of/lost Orakpo and Morgan and signed Wake.

 

Oops, meant 16-17. I typically don't either, but they provide tangible data such as # of pressures, sacks, yards before contact, etc. And compare that to the rest of the league . It's a better system than just looking at the sack total and blaming the line.

 

Yep. I said it on here many times, many aren’t considering that Mary contributes to some of those sacks...Imagine blocking for someone who always moves around the pocket and isn’t very decisive. I agree that our interior line could use some support hands down, but I’ve also watched Mary dick around in the pocket often.

 

no one isnt considering that, but the iOL was also very bad last season. you guys keep saying we arent considering it... but we are.

 

Well thank you for stating that, seriously...Because I don’t get that vibe from others.

 

I have stated my stance/thoughts on Mary several times. I am all about fixing holes/problem areas of our team.
