Hope not. WR is not the issue here and that’d be a miss on the positions that are.

Cooper was a top 5 talent, an established player , and Oakland was having a fire sale. He clearly planned on addressing the position in FA after the season due to Matthews' departure. And he seemed like a perfect solution, before he became too expensive. And the deal allegedly included a trade of second round picks, which is not as drastic as trading the first outright. Nobody in this draft is worth a first, if he wasn't willing to trade it for Cooper.

Humphries is going to be good but after that you can't tell me that Taylor and Sharpe are reliable options. Hell even TE is an option at 19. Those guys you mentioned can't do it all. Teams already focused on stopping those guys and once they do then what? Whatever J Rob does at 19,BPA, defense or offense is the way to go.

How "good" was Mariota at throwing the deep ball prior to Taylor? Not very. Suddenly, he's good? No. Taylor is just very fast, only lacking in consistency in his young career. Which comes with experience

Mary has enough weapons to be successful...He has Walker, Henry, Davis, Humphries, and added line help with Saffold and a healthier Conk. Could we add some help? Sure...but I genuinely think if we go offense early, we should go Center or TE. Ben Jones and whoever is at RG needs support (could be our replacement center or starting RG...and TE is a huge question mark. Will Walker be healthy/the same? He’s 35 too.... Will Jonnu still suck? We lost Stocker...TE’s do more than WR’s...and Mariota loves him some Tight Ends...

Davis, Walker, humphries, even Lewis out of the back field is a pretty good offense. Feed Henry. That’s what this offense is based on anyway.

Sharpe and Taylor get the “other” spot and Taylor (as mentioned) will get better with experience.

It's all going to depend on who goes in the 1st 18.
If Hockenson is there at 19 and the next BPA is a 2nd or 3rd choice EDGE guy, I take Hock.
We'll see how defense hungry the rest of the league is on Day1.

I see a bigger need at DT. Edge is fine, but we barely create any pressure through the middle. QBs constantly step up in the pocket to avoid our edge rushers.

I get your point. But throwing more resources at the offense is throwing good money after bad. We have gotten next to no return on all the high picks lavished upon the offense.

Taking the defense from good to great can get us a shot at a ring.
