My question was graded out in what capacity? PFF? Madden?

My answer is I wouldn't care. Yea it would be nice if his PFF grade was significantly higher but it doesn't change anything. It's not my opinion, or that of people that work for a website, that matter. It's different players, in different situations, under different circumstances. The opinions that matter are those of the people who get paid, at the highest professional level, to study, scout, and evaluate talent. Could they be wrong from time to time? Sure. Like I said, it's different all around, but I trust their's more than anyone else's.

I've only watched a few clips, as I'm sure you have, and from that limited sample I'd already say he looks like an improvement. Lucky for us, neither you or I are in charge of making that decision.

Remember, coaches and GMs have access to PFF and any other information you find on the internet. There is a reason why Madden and PFF update their grades weekly.

And that was totally worth it, Brown has been a solid pro. JR does use picks to move around, but most of the time it's for a player who's worth the capital. Conklin wasn't good last year, I'm really hoping it's because he wasn't 100%. But the years prior, he was absolutely worth the draft capital spent.

I can't think of other guys he moved up for though, so there very well could be negative examples I'm not thinking of.

FTR, I trade a 3rd and 5th all day for Brown. The problem is, the 3rd would have had to be a 2nd because I think the Raiders pick was like 17 spots earlier in the third round. A 2nd and a 5th plus that contract, makes it a much tougher choice. It's the difference of having Brown, OR having Humphries, Saffold, 2nd and a 5th.

    I’ll preach mid-level guard until I die.

These interior linemen that sign these big deals never play them out because teams have to be continually reminded they’ll never be worth it.

    Ain’t my money though.

If your job was dependant on keeping a glass QB upright, you would have a change of heart.

Jrob has beefed up the O-line and got Marcus a weapon. We are set at RB, and with Davis, Humphries, Taylor, Walker back from injury and whoever we add in the draft, it really is now or never for Mariota

Which makes sense, JR needs to know this year if Mariota is worth the investment. If he isn't, the rookie QB of 2020 will be walking into a built offense and entire team essentially.
