The more I read about this Deal, the more I’m impressed with new GM Mike Mayock. Everyone likes to dog him, but this move was brilliant for a few reasons.

    -1WR
    -minimal draft capital/assets given up
    -Pitt eats dead money
-AB actually wanted to go there

They gave up a 3rd and 5th for the best WR in football for crying out loud. And he wants to be a Raider.

    Great job Mayock.

Yup. Plus consider the deal that Hill is about to get, and this looks even better. Very reasonable contract. If JRob had pulled this off, we’d be ecstatic (although I’m sure some on here would still complain).

Raiders were the only team left in the running lol..What was Brown going to say, I don't want to be a Raider either?
Nice job though getting a top WR and not giving up any of the 3 first rounders.
    Signing Bell next??

This. Sure Gruden shipped out talent but Carr can be alright ,Brown is still playing at a high level and the they have 3 firsts this year and two next. They also have a bunch of cap space. If Gruden drafts well and signs well, they can be competitive this season and pretty good their first year in Vegas. All up to Gruden and the GM now.

This was a bad move for us to make, but a good move for the raiders. We didn't cost them much and they get a premium wr for their trash qb. We would be giving to much money to the wr group and hurting our chances at pass rush, oline and dline in fa. But, the raiders have money and no wrs, good move.

We pay our Wrs nothing and need wrs

This is a good move for them simply because they embrace the passing game. We dont

I’d let him stay at home before taking a $21 mil cap hit and those two picks.

Exactly, and they do. So it's not worth it for us. As long as we can get a pass rusher. If we don't get a pass rusher, then we can talk about a miss. But, for now it makes since

You're gonna take the cap hit either way. At least this way they save the money and get at least something in return. The whole situation is ridiculous but it would be crazier to keep him and pay him just out of spite.

If he doesn't go to camp, he not only doesn't get paid, he is fined. If he sits out the entire season, the number of years left on his contract remains.

They'd be on the hook for the signing bonus though he gets on the 17th for $2.5M.

I think there has to be something else involved like Big Ben wanting him gone.
