people keep bringing up td stats like he should have had 30 tds, I watched every play from every game, its just the way it went, he maybe could've had 17-18 tds max if his receivers actually caught the ball. But that's it, we didn't have a prolific high flying offense.

Obviously he needs to improve and stay healthy, but you guys should be careful what you wish for. Kirk Cousins had 30 tds and over 4000 yards, but Im taking Mariota over him every single time, because he can actually win a big game and that's more important to me than td numbers.

So even the run first Ravens threw for more TD's than the Titans this year. Please stop with some narrative that even though Cousins threw for 30 TD's and his team didn't make it, that we shouldn't be seriously concerned for our passing game as a whole. Sure the WR weren't great, but if we want to be in the playoffs and actually contend for a title, this crap we're putting on the field right now is not going to get us anywhere near a Super Bowl. We have to stop kidding ourselves and really start asking if Marcus is the answer.

 

You're absolutely right that our current offense won't get it done. But for me, I firmly believe that if healthy and with enough talent around him Mariota is fully capable of winning a Super bowl. There are only so many qbs that can put a team on his back and win a game in the final minutes, and he is one of them.

I get that patients is running thin, but if I told you its going to take 3-4 more years before he puts it all together, but when he does, we'll win the Superbowl, would it be worth the wait?

Also its not like he can't put up better td numbers, he threw 26 his 2nd year, so he's fully capable on doing it with more help.
