Titans Hire Arthur Smith as OC

Can't knock it til we see what he does... Plenty of "big names" flop and a "no names" can come out of seemingly nowhere and be the next big things.

 

Could this be the first coach to correctly show Mary how to throw a screen pass? Nah maybe when we get a real qb, we can have real plays. You know, each team in the playoffs has thrown the ball to a rb out of the backfield in stride for big gains. I truly believe Mary can't make that throw in stride.....noone on this team gets YAC because its hard enough to catch the ball when its never in a great spot......

 

Everyone has to get their first shot to prove themselves. Time will tell if this guy has it or not. Hopefully he lights it up and we're all singing his praise.

 

I hate it how teams around the league alway seem to go after our "Toys" if they are in any way successful, never after the clots or texans.
You know how Titans can't have nice things because Titans. LaFleur did some extremely stupid questionable things but he also did something as a Titans fan I hadn't seen since the Run-N-Shoot Oilers, scheme receivers open. Really hope he (A.Smith) continues that going.
This was the guy that I was hoping for (when all of the names were being thrown around) because as I stated earlier Titans can't have nice things because Titans, maybe now we can have an OC that can be successful with us and be here more then 2 seasons.

 

I disliked Whis as much as the next guy, but MM8's two best seasons were with Whis (one was shortened after he was fired). I'd take those 26 TDs from year two right about now compared to the 11 this year.

 

Sorry but if winning is the cost of his TD decrease, then I guess we better get used to him tossing a low number, but I think there’s some middle ground.

 

Man, Blaine destroyed Mary on 104.5 this morning. People were asking about the Arthur Smith hire and he said F that and laid into Mary. Basically he said he is tired of the talk every offseason being about Marcus, as in the evaluation of the team after the season always comes back to him being the biggest or one of the biggest problems. He said it's all about execution and the fact that this team can never stay healthy. Blaine is right, he's going into year 5 so we can almost assure that we've have seen Mary's peak.

LOL, then the callers unloaded talking about the reason why we suck is because we have tay tay and sharpe as our 2 and 3.

 

Well we do have some of the worst WR's playing significant reps

neither of those guys start on any other roster

 

So our two best offensive players are big fans
