Eric crouch won the heisman. - drafted in the 6th round, as a safety
Charlie Ward won the heisman - got drafted 1st round, by the New York Knicks
    Chris Weinke
    Danny Wuerffel
    Troy Smith
    Jason white
    Gino Torretta
Have all Won the Heisman. It’s ok to question whether a Heisman winner should even be drafted.

I agree we need a 2nd guy. All I’m saying is nothing is guaranteed. Personally I would take W Grier in 2nd or or Even take a chance on D Lock. I think we all agree not a deep QB class full of first round talent. I’m saying we shouldn’t be afraid of whiffing and believe in our scouts.

Remember this guy is the GOAT

Gabbert is under contract but that doesn't mean the Titans have to keep him especially if there’s a quality QB out there to push MM or back him up. The Titans can easily let Gabbert go and save 1.5mil (500,000 DM). Gabbert has gotta go IMO regardless.

Taylor would be my first choice. But, I'd be down any of those guys as long as it's not gabby. Problem is, we will already have 20m in cap going towards that position, so i can't see us paying more than 6m for a backup/competition for mm8

Yep, we cannot pay Mariota 20+mil and then a good backup another 10-12 mil so that we have a good back up for Mariota. That is too much tied up in the QB position and still not be elite.

We do not need to go pay for some really good backup....if Mariota misses a bunch of games next yr then we certainly don’t need to sign him to a long term deal....which means losing games gets us a higher draft pick and better chance to pick our future qb
