I’ve got no beef with building the other positions. It would suck for another wasted year on mariota injuries but the bright side is this team is mostly young. If anything, I’ve thought we’ve been missing some veterans.

Could possibly get Grier in the third or Schumer in the 5th or 6th. Neither would be starter material, but better backups than what we’ve had.

OP lost me once he said Shane Ray. I agree that Morgan needs to walk though. We can find someone a lot younger that would give us at minimum what Morgan gave us.

QB - veteran competition, NOT a 6th round rookie. Bridgewater, Taylor, Flacco or even RG3 would be much better options than Gabbert at backup.

WR - I see this as being our top trade necessity. No more draft picks spent on unprovens, no more FA pickups from the scrap heaps. Trade our 1st or 2nd (or more) for a proven stud and let's move on.

OL - this staff clearly has little faith in Spain, oh he gone. Sign a vet in Iupati or Saffold and draft a guy in the top 2 rounds. Chris Lindstrom or Cody Ford in the 2nd works for me. Cut Kline.

DL - this could be the best year ever for FA stud DL. Well see who hits the market, but if we could get one of Demarcus Lawrence, Grady Jarrett, Javedeon Clowney, Ndamukong Suh, Trey Flowers, or Sheldon Richardson, we'd be in business.

OLB - I like Landry, Finch and Correa, but would like to see more there if possible. Dee Ford or Preston Smith seem unlikely but ya never know.

S - Lots of safety talent available this year but I'd hate to not resign Vacarro, dude played his heart out for us. Cut Cyprien.

Two things I see that doesn't help us. 1- big time free agents don't like coming to Tennessee. 2- we have been building this team with decent draft picks. We drafted ol, wr,cb,lb,rb, but we need a full time QB to get to the next level.

This is definitely NOT the draft to draft a QB, however much I think we should.
Next year's draft is projected to be deep in QBs.

It's not like there are not many other weaknesses that need addressing.

Let Mariota play out his 5th year option.

Then draft a replacement next year.

I no longer think he is the Titan's future, which I strongly did for his first 3 years.

Hoping for Tyrod at a decent price , our best bet for a backup/starter/competition for Mariota in my opinion. Dude can move and has a cannon . On a decent team he can do well and most importantly, he doesn’t throw a bunch of picks.

There is exactly a zero percent chance we draft a QB this year. Falk was supposed to be our developmental QB but got creeped for the playbook. If Mariota doesn't shape up, QB in 2020 no doubt.

When Gabbert threw that pick the other night, on the fourth quarter drive to tie the game, and there wasn't a Titan within 20 damn feet of where the ball went, the writing was on the wall. YOU SIR, CANNOT LEAD OUR TEAM TO VICTORY! KINDLY CLEAN OUT YOUR LOCKER, AND GET THE F@#$ OUT. Or something to that effect.

It looks like I have $5,000 Moolah, whatever that is. I'd happily bet $1,000 that we bring in a new vet backup who can actually offer Mariota some competition.

The key is COMPETE with Mariota. Whether it be draft or veteran (likely a vet for sure). I am appalled to be honest that we legit rolled in with Gabbert as our backup this year after the Cassel experiment. Sure, Gabby is better, but they knew damn well Mary wasn’t playing a full season. They better learn from this and not screw around this time. I am honestly disappointed in Jrob a bit for the depth on this team. QB, RB (thank god Henry didn’t go down), WR, etc all needed help.
