Official Mariota farewell tour thread

I just want this franchise to quit trying to find Warren Moon. We've had pretty bad luck with this. Only McNair turned out to be a good decision in that entire time of doing this. Instead of finding an agile athlete lets get someone with an arm that isn't made of glass for once. I'm tired of having to give up on a QB because he is either too stupid to learn a playbook or is always injured and is/will be out of the league before he's 30.

 

Yeah let’s make our decision based on what motivates larger markets...because that has been a consistent winning strategy...

 

They picked up his option, so yeah he will be back next year. However, does anybody really expect him to actually make it through 16 games and be consistent? Inconsistency has defined his whole career. Not exactly what you would expect as a #2 pick and potential franchise QB.

Unless it is a dramatic turnaround next season, the Titans should let him walk and join the ranks of first round busts that finish their careers as backups...

 

Right...doubt many here would disagree. But the stupid thing would be to move on this season...we have committed to year five already. So we wait and see what next year holds. If he leads us to 11-5 or 12-4, the team will keep him and most here will think they should.

Team will still need a better backup for next season for the inevitable Mariota missing games, so i see the value of bringing in someone else to push Mariota.

 

What's the whole story then?
