Tirans fans have a skewed perception of what a starting QB is and can be to a franchise considering we haven't had one in over a decade.

 

Again, this fan base has no memory or experience with an actual franchise QB so of course Mariota looks special to them.

It's been well over a decade since the Titans had a legit starting QB.

 

Probably close to 20 QBs in the league I'd rather have over MM. He is below average.

 

his stats says he has lol what are you talking about. nowhere did i say elite, but awful is a word used for box score & stat sheet watchers. you guys have been putting words in people’s mouths all year and have been getting away with it because misery loves company. Im not even campaigning for Mariota to be extended anymore but if you think he’s done more bad than good than you’re the naive one. Last year absolutely, This year no.

 

He has absolutely taken more than his fair share of sacks. A large part of why we are here in the first place.

And I have been critical of the line as well. MM has not played well, at all this season.

 

My wife had an issue with her hand going numb and it required surgery of moving the ulnar nerve to the back of her elbow. 3 months of recovery time. There was another option that would require 6 months. Bottom line, sounds like Marcus will need to have surgery and that means another off season he will not have. Not good.

It would be different, if he wasn't handling the ball every snap. I'd *almost* go as far as to say I wish he was bad, at least we would know what we would have then.

This situation is incredibly similar to the VY situation. Inconsistency surrounded in injury and it ended up killing the team for years.
