John DeFilippo fired by Vikings

    Just because you're a good QB coach doesn't automatically make you a good coordinator/ schemer/ play caller/ leader. Some people are just meant to be position coaches (see Mike Munchak). Bringing him in as a QB coach might not hurt, but I'd still be skeptical. Outside of a miracle season in Philly what has he really done? I'm not hating, I'm legit asking. I don't know. On the other hand, I really didn't like the Pat O'Hara hire and I'm even less impressed now. I think he can easily be upgraded.

    On that subject. I still think we need coaching upgrades at OL and RB. RB especially. I didn't like the resumes coming in and they haven't done anything to earn their jobs. Huge recessions on both.
